Amazon affiliate program
I have not been able to do much with the affiliate program that Amazon offers, but after reading this post I'm thinking about trying some of what he mentions.

RE: Amazon affiliate program
You wouldn't believe me I spent 12 hours yesterday researching this affiliate program and building my scripts for it.
I am really near "Eureka" and I think this will work for a long long time and give proper returns.

RE: Amazon affiliate program
Yes I have seen that I collected many amazon scripts which were available on the internet but none was so good. Plus I was fedup of supplemental results in the search engine index.
So I came up with new idea. I will PM you about it I just got an email from a new hosting and I am uploading the files on to it. Moreover I also have one idea that I would like to discuss with you. If you come online on Yahoo then please don't forget to Buzz me. I think this time I am just going to finish my affiliate check much faster then ever.

RE: Amazon affiliate program
Copper,
You have some nice sites. They did seem quite slow to load for me, especially the money site.
I didn't see adsense on any of your sites though...?

RE: Amazon affiliate program
Cocoon.org - it's for kids site and I don't want to put adsense there. I may put some affiliate link to educational toys or books when site gets at least 1,000 uniques/day
MoneyReport.org - well, this one, I kind of forgot all about it. Loading slow?
Where are you located?
LOV.net - again, sort of incomplete site :(
TechWench.com - need to put more contents to make members participate.
I don't want to put ads until sites get at least few hundred uniques/day as I want them to grow into real sites, not adsense site ;-)
Actually, TechWench.com do have little adsense on sub pages ;-)

RE: Amazon affiliate program
I have not been able to do much with the affiliate program that Amazon offers, but after reading this post I'm thinking about trying some of what he mentions.
The only way that has worked for me is to find what is hot at amazon, which is usually a group of items, then get a catchy domain where you can promote those products.
Once you do that create a nice sales copy for each item that you will market, then use google adwords/ msn adcenter / Y! Search , to promote those products, and you usually have no keyword competition (or trademarked terms limitations ) at any of those places for most products, because nobody has any reason to advertise them, but you do because you are the amazon affiliate.
There is also some other tricks you can do with google adwords and direct linking to amazon.com with your affiliate url, and you use amazon.com as your display url, if anyone is interested in this please pm me for details.
I also found that the above works great with the ebay affiliate program ( or auctionads.com )
But my methods only work if you are going to use PPC , which can get costly.

RE: Amazon affiliate program
I have created some blogs and have posted some reviews and product links on it. In past 2 days it has been getting around 150 uniques per day. Now lets see how it performs.
I was thinking that without marketing it will get around 20 - 30 hits but this is proving to be more then what I bargained for.
Atleast 5K's in affiliate in a year if this keeps on getting the same kind of traffic and if my link builders do market it well enough.
