Used to be good in old days. Now the list comes full with paid directories which claim to be free.

this is nice tool,but i usualy go for manual directory submission and for that i use roboform to fill form automatically.i go throught this way.if have any batter and effective way for dir submission than let me know.

Informenter a firefox plugin is a great tool if you want to do it manually.

This works with firefox as an addon.

InFormEnter is Firefox extension that adds a small, clickable icon next to every input field in a web form, from where you can select the item to be inserted — no typing required. You can configure it to display your frequently used information such as name, email, address and whatever else you want to be available from the form menu.

i used digixmas for submitting the sites. but now it also asks for money after 2 sites. so again i will have to look for some better tools for submitting the sites to the free directory and with the free directory tool.

Digixmas is a good and worth trying for.

I have used it in past. but Nowadays I have a friend who makes links for me. So I am not in touch more towards the new link building tools.
