Domain name parking is the best way to monetize your existing domain names that are not developed and don't have a website on it. major domain name parking services provides you with a landing page on which a user or a visitor lands when he or she wants to visit your website.

On the other hand backlinks is a major way to get some exposure, traffic and high rankings on the search engine index.

Now the dilemma is that many parking service providers do not allow you to bring in the traffic by making links or submitting your sites to newsgroups, classifieds or forums. In short you cannot actively market your domain name. Moreover, search engines do not rank parked pages higher compared to the website with full-fledged content and complex linking structure. In some cases search engines don't rank the parking pages at all.

If you purchase the expired domain name which already has backlinks pointing towards the site then the traffic is still flowing in from that established backlinks all around the internet. And this is allowed by the parking companies. While if you develop backlinks after parking the domain name they don not allow this linking. And we cannot stop someone from linking to our already parked pages.


I tried to find some more information on this issue on the internet but it was all in vain. If some domain name parking service provider can shed some more light on this topic then it would definately help people to earn more revenue from their parked domain names.

There are a few places now where you can park you domain and they will create a site to go on it like www.noparking.com. I think they run ads and share the money with you. I think there are at least two companies like this, but I can't remember the other one.

We also have the option of leting the domain owner sell the site we create with their domain, thus increasing the value of the sale. We either sell the site to the domain owner, or we take a percentage of the sale.

I think the best thing to do is just create sites for your domains. Even if you have a domain with links/PR, that is going to start going away over time once the site has been removed from it's site that got the links.
