Humm.... that is why I use the software which I have to do my domain name lookups.

When a single domain name is to be looked up then I always use domaintools.com

there is a bug in domain tools as well!!
suppose i want to search for xyz.com and i search it on domain tools...then the url generated is http://domaintools.com/xyz.com and if there is a advertisement on that page on which the user clicks after searching the domain...then the advertiser would have that URL in his referrer log!!

Yes pranav that can also give a signal to other webmasters right on their awstats or similar program which shows the referrals.

That can also be one of the issues causing this kind of problems.

I searched for a domain name and the next day when i went to register it it was taken!!

What domain software you use for making your lists?

Or do you check it directly on the whois websites?

I have one software for domain mining specially tailored by the domainers and for the domainers. The software is no longer available in the market so I cannot mention its name here as the owner has stopped supporting it. But it is still good one and I use it on regular basis.

i search for the name of namecheap.com where i had bought a domain that day, and these two domains were available and i thought that i would buy the second domain tommorow....
but the next day the domain was gone!!

Now, wether that was a mere coincidence or someone really stole it...i might never come to know!!

by the way...what software is that....

can you send the software to our nameslot members so that things like these dont happen again!!

Sorry friend I am not a reseller of that software But the owner of that software is the friend of mine and he would not mind me giving it out to the nameslot members. But I will just have to ask him.
