I fetched the data from the registries and made this list in excel about domain name count stats. It was already in excel so created this chart.



How is it? I have not included other TLD's this is just the chart of the leading ones and their percentage within the leading positions.

Very interesting nick, I knew .de was huge, but I didn't realise it was bigger than .net.
Could you put .us in there as well?

Well, this provides me with more information that .com is king of the domain world. I never would have thought that it would be over 50%, though!

Yes if we consider the other 200+ ccTLD's the market share is in 0.xx percent for those TLD's.
