Could someone make an appraise of : fatsecret.net

I registered it because i thought it could be profitable , since the fatsecret.com (that is not mine) is a social network website for fat people that want to go on a diet. So i got the .net domain.

And the fatsecret.com domain just appear in the Times magazine in the section: 50 best websites of 2007.

Do yall think that somehow i can get traffic by hold the the similar domain?

Where should i park it?

I would surely make it into a website where there are secrets for fat people and there are plenty of fat people on this planet so market is huge. :grin:

For the appraisal I think I would place it into a developable domain cateory and think that it can fetch Mid $xx to Low $xxx for the right buyer.

It could have been High to Mid $xxx if it was a .com but sadly that is not the scenario over here.

I'm agree with admin your domain name pronounceable and developable domain name and good search results in google. Your domain's TLD .net :tongue: But you sure get $xxx for this domain name. :grinning-wink:

In fact, i was thinking that it would be good not because of the name, but because the .com domain that is a good traffic website and was just listed in Time magazine. Could it make my domain worth more?

No friend sometimes it counts and sometimes it doesn't. Moreover I would not try to make some money on the name of the .com version. If the .com is popular then let it be. You should now focus on your domain name. Plus also check about trademark issues. It doesn't seems so but who knows.

I think you haven't heard of domain squatting yet.

There is a line between domain name investments and domain squatting.
