So, you took all the dot com domains, like nielsentech.com and scanned it against the (old) Overture database...?

And why would someone pay anything for that? If you put spaces between the words in the domains, it might make more sense...

Perhaps I am not understanding exactly what you are offering. Can you provide a sample of the data and explain?

This specific list is about the domain names, not keywords.

Isn't the Overture list about keywords? Please explain how the Overture database has any connection with all the domains in the .com zone file?

The overture connection has been popular with domainers for years. They use it as a guage to indicate the number of typeins a domain may get, and thus it's potential value. A very rough formula for determining this was the overture result would indicate an approximate number of daily typeins for a domain name. It is widely used among professional domainers in determining a price to buy or sell a name. It is an important value used in automated appraisal services like estibot.com, to determine the value of a name.

Having the results of all .com domains with an overture count instantly in one spot, has always been sought after by domain investors. Does that help any?

A little, but then it of course directly relates to keywords. If you are checking the potential traffic for a domain like nameslot.com, you would check in overture for the keyword phrase "name slot", and see how many people would do a search for that phrase.

But a search for "nameslot" may or may not have any value, since if the domain name is constructed of two keywords, like "buy cars", few people if any are going to search for "buycars". Does that make sense?

Also, the Overture results are great for SEO and I use them all the time, but they are a poor indication for domain name type-ins. This is because they aggrigate the results. So "buy cars", cars buy", "car buy", and "buy car" will all return the same number in Overture.

If you are trying to check type-in traffic with Overture, you don't REALLY know what the true number is, but it is better than nothing...

So could we see a small sample of the data you are selling? That should allow us to determine if it's worth the price you are asking. If I am missing something about this please let me know.
