I always use xml sitemaps for new site but it seems the limit is always reach at 500 pages.

I use this one.

But its a little bit slow on crawling or my site is too big for it.

I think if you use the paid script from xml sitemaps you don't have the 500 url limit and you can also set up a cron job to re-generate the map from time to time and make sure it's current.

I'm using it on some sites, but have not set up the cron jobs yet.

Everyone knows that other search engines are now using the Google sitemap format? That's what I heard anyway, so it should make it more worthwhile to create them.
