The link that Nick posted should give you detailed information on PageRank (PR). You should also go to Google and read everything they have for webmasters at http://www.google.com/webmasters/. It also says some things about what some of the most important things are to have a "good" site.

My short answer to "What is PageRank?", is that it is Google's way or rating the "value" of a web page / site. It is based on a number of things, including the number of links to a site, and uses a scale of 0 to 10 which like the Richter scale, each number is 10 times more strong than the one before. You will need to use a utility or the Google toolbar to see a site's PR.

Got PR 5 for one older site.

Didn't lost a single PR on any website of mine. Most of them are stable where they were and some got the gain in this recent update.

congratulations nick! my sites still no sign of PR increase. Myabe I will wait again for he next quarter update.

You are our linkz team so asking you if you have submitted the site to the directories would be a foolish question from me :D

Truly telling this update was a total mess. But lets see what the next update brings for us. :)

that is true nick, but getting links to directories are not much getting weight nowadays, you are submitting link to the PR3-6 directories, but that PR are only for homepage, but digging into the sub-pages it actually PR 0 and that is being shared again to the sites listed in the category. The ultimate option now is submitting articles and press-releases or pay on a high PR page.

Right. And I think that is the reason that my PR wasn't down. Many webmasters lost their Pagerank.

One friend of mine who did a directory submission to 1500 directories got PR 0.

While I make it hotch-potch of directory links, articles, forum sigs, affiliate marketing links, banners and common link exchanges.

b4 two months i has add 7-8 pages in my pr4 site and i got pr 3 of all the pages.and i have created one link page now its pr is 2.cheers
