How do you research keywords for SEO?
I'm curious how others are doing keyword research and how well it works for them?
The main tool is the paid service from www.Wordtracker.com. Most professional SEOs only use this and look down on all other tools.
There is a new service that I don't know much about called Keyword Discovery and I'd like to hear about that if anyone has tried it.
Overture, now Yahoo, has provided a keyword search tool for many years that a lot of people use because it is free and also quite effective. I use this data, but I do so with the free program from www.GoodKeywords.com. The company that makes GK also makes some other very good tools and some will be of interest to domainers.

RE: How do you research keywords for SEO?
Ok, I found www.keyworddigger.com. This is almost the same thing as what www.GoodKeywords.com offers, but it has more functions and features. Actually, they have something new. If you go to http://www.softnik.com you can get their new "KeywordPad".
Use KeywordPad to clean, sort, modify, multiply and manage huge keyword phrase lists. It even supports handling multiple keyword lists simultaneously through a tabbed interface and is an ideal companion software tool for Good Keywords. It is also completely free for commercial and personal use.

RE: How do you research keywords for SEO?
oh....thats a strange story, there is more possibility that hes faked it...coz this sounds impossible...#1 in google for a keyword and 400 queries for that keyword and just 2 hits, looks quite farfetched!!

RE: How do you research keywords for SEO?
LOL now that would have really made that guy insane. He thought he will get 400 hits or atleast 200 out of it being at #1 position on the search engine and he gets 2.
Maybe he is faking that story or there is some serious mistake on the users side.
Ooops just completed my 900 posts
