I have about 150 domains at this point. If you have some extra money and start playing the domainer it can be qute addictive, right Sohil? :-)

I bought NielsenTech.com for my business back in 1999 and bought 2-3 domains in the years following. Last year I had about 40 domains and now I have 150.

My best site is Consultant-Directory.com(2003). It is one of two sites that get the most traffic, and it makes more money than any of my others via Adsense, and paid links, but the directory is completely free to submit to and has over 10,000 hand-reviewed listings. The paid links I get via Linkworth.com.

About 45 of my domains have sites and the rest are parked at Imonetize. I don't make much from parking and plan to take the sites that don't make anything and put sites on them. I have 2 directories, 3 (small)search engines, about 30 blogs(some are stand alone and some added-on to sites).

One of my favorite domain names is DomainerComplainer.com. I may create a forum that is a complete reverse of NamesLot where everyone just complains all the time... :-)

One thought though. You will have to put many bad words in bad words management system. Because most of the heated persons might forget some rules and lose the control.

Silly NamesLot, the "bad word" filter would have none of what you have here. It would be a list like:

Thank you
please
you're welcome
nice guy
honest
generious
good company
nice site
good affiliate program
etc.

You could not use words like that there... And oh yes, no one would help anyone else. They just beg for links and try to sell junk. And of course ads would be allowed there. Say, it could become quite popular I think...?

You are right. I can imagine a place like that. I can also see what a mayhem it will create in the market place where people will be buying and selling their stuff.

Moreover how about moderators. Will they be kind or will the be the most cruel moderators on the internet.

One hundred fifty domains is a really big portfolio. Is this the most you've ever had or have you had more in the past? I know there are some people that have thousands of domains - you hear about them in the mainstream media a lot when there is bad domain news.

Yes I do have some friends who have 1000 domains and some have 4500 domains. But they are cool enough and they don't break any rules here and there. They have a good portfolio of generic domain names. So they stay out of the mess.

150 domains is the most I have ever had. Since I started buying domains in 1999, I have only let one expire. I have not sold any yet. I have not been as smart as I should with these domains. What happened is that I started hanging around NamePros.com and was tempted by all the deals that you can find there, plus I didn't know as much as I do now about how to tell the value of a domain.

The problem is that I have my company to run and my clients to take care of, then I have another full time job with all these domains if I want to put sites on them and keep them up. But since the sites don't pay be much, they are not a priority.

I think it is better to be more organized and have a plan that you can execute well and not just be tempted by the idea of quick or easy money. Unless you KNOW what you are doing, it's generally not a realistic way to go.

Right now I have 0 domain I am new on internet and domain subject is totally new for me so I am searching some place to know about domain names and I have some question and I saw this domain forum and that's why I am here now.
