can anyone tell me how to do seo for sites.

the thing is I used to own 4 or 5 sites and then there was no one coming on my websites other then me and my friends. so i sold them all off.

after joining here i think i made a bad move. if i had that sites then i would have got some help from people here and my sites would have really worked nicely then before.

so if someone knows how to do SEO and internet marketing then please post some tips and guidelines here so me and other people like me can read them.

You should get lots of replies, but here are some basics that I use for SEO for all my clients:

1) Keyword research. Use a keyword reserach tool like the one from www.GoodKeywords.com to find out what people type in to find sites like yours.

2) Use the results of the keyword research to optimize your site.

3) Submit your site(s) to as many search engines and directories as possible.

There are a lot of details to talk about and other methods that relate to SEO, but those are the basics. You should ask specific questions, do some searches in Google for information, and ask people to give you suggestions for your site to improve the optimization.

and just keep your eyes on this forums to get updates in SEO and other webmarketing techniques.
