I would like to know different strategies of domain name owners here on nameslot.com about their styles to generating profits from their domain names.

Do you buy and sell a lot making smaller margins and focusing on quantity?

Or do you make bigger deals and just take in huge profits with less number of domain names?

Some even generate revenue from parking and some people generate revenue with developing.

Lets hear your strategy and its benefits.

From an outside perspective, it looks to the average consumer that a majority of the profits made from domain buying and selling is done because of the opportunistic nature of the buyer. For example, on the news, you often see someone receiving a big payout because they registered a name before a big company.

I would go with buy the domain name and develop it.

Everybody like profits but now everybody know that good domains are not available in the domain market so simple way is that buy domain name and develop it and make good PR then sell it so we get good offer. :smile:

I have a slight different approach here. I do buy in domain names or register them from the registrar. Then I develop it and perform SEO and marketing for it. In return I depend on the revenue from the sites.

I used to be like Buy, Develop, Sell. - Make profits from it.

But then it was a same story every month and after it. Reinventing the wheel more then 500 times can turn you insane :grin:

So I thought why not stick to it. Which in return gave me good benefits overall.

I recently sold 6 names that I hand registered, I only made a small profit ($xx )

I also bought wirelessdesktops.com for $5 and have had it appraised at low $xxx, so I'm hoping to make some decent profit from that one.

I have some domains parked, one domain is earning me $15 a month, it's not a massive amount, but if I could get another 999 domains like that I could retire!

I have some domains developed as well (see my sig) but they don't really earn very much at this point (my CTR on adsense is almost zero)
