It would be GREAT to have PR (Press Releases) picked up by the news media, but you are right, there are so many sent everyday that you really have to have some actual NEWS to get any exposure in newspapers, radio, TV, etc.

But that does not mean PRs don't work anyway. Do a search in Google for "vioxx search engine" and "mesothelioma search engine" and you will see where sites have published some of my PRs. Many sites list PRs as great free content. Heck, I use them to update most of the 30+ blogs that I have. They work like articles with out the link back to the author. You still may get links, but they are not required like they are for articles.

reciprocal linking is still being valued especially by google as google loves links especially for trusted site, but as for my observation a 3 way linking system is far more effective than direct reciprocal

I m working on health related sites, and my worry is not PR my worry is SERP.
my site's pr is 4.
i never go for link exchange other than health related sites. and i have done completed onpage optimization but the problem is on my site some products are added frequently so i need to work on those product to get ranking.and when i work on those product my site started loosing its rank for those keyword on which it was on 1st page before.

Back links - it is the links from other sites pointing to your sites
Relevant backlinks? - it is the link from other related theme site pointing to your sites.. (eg.. i m working on health related sites so if i m getting back links from health related sites than it is called relevant back links.)
Content? - content on the page of your site
Unique content? - no copy content from other sites or any live pages
Competition?- when u search for any query search engines give one amount of page like page found out of 12342445 pages. here 12342445 is called competition for that particular keyword.

that site is given in my signature entitled weight loss pills.
content is unique, and i have built relevant links only.
but main things is i found it little bit difficult to get more relevant reciprocal links now.

I don't know exactly or not even suggesting that you should do the following but here are some suggestions.

Title tag if we can remove the weightworld in the end it will atleast put some more weight on the keywords.

One header if possible.

Footer links looks great.

Also checked the page with spider simulator here http://www.nameslot.com/nametools.php Might come in useful to you.

One confusing thing I saw is that the Pagerank is showing PR 4 and at some places it is showing PR 0. You might also want to check it yourself at smartpagerank.com

Humm..... not discouraging you but the link popularity seems low compared to the premium keywords that the site is targetting.

since last one month i m working on link building only..
on page optimization will work for internal pages only.and i m sure that pr4 is not fake coz domain is old and i have done lots of link building and get some good trusted links with high PR.
i have added some seo pages so u might see that those pages have pr0.
i never disappointed with any problems yaar, if we did not face any problems than we never know new things.i like to face the challenges.

Hi jignesh there are no value of reciprocal links in SEO. You take the link from you competitor it's good but when you give him or her return link from your site so it will be equal and google would degrade that link. So try to get one way link from your competitor or other sites.

And get more and more links do blog posting, forum posting, article submission, social bookmarking and directories submission.

These all things boost you site and you get PR for your site.

It just because many of today’s fake purposes websites. People just make the website for generating revenue which is not that wrong thinking but they should add some valuable content to the website so people can get good information from these kinds a web site. Than it’ll also look natural and valuable when you linking them

I’ll suggest you to have good link building by choosing some valuable websites.
I’ll prefer 3 way linking
Write some articles related to your website and post them to various article websites

That will give you natural backlink to your website which will be more valuable than exchanging link between 2 websites

Recently Google has updated it's algorithm and search strategy ..... there is much more use of terms such as " Latent semantic indexing and Personalize search " used by webmasters and are more concern about these new searching strategy.
