If you are using firefox and would like to increase you surfing speed then here are some tweaks that will allow you to do so.

Perform the following steps:

- Type in about:config in the address bar where you normally type in the website address.

- Now you will have a list of settings. Scroll down to find the entries that says.

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

This is called piping. Imagine water pouring from one pipe and then compare it with water pouring from several pipes.

- Change the settings:

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

And then right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. To make an empty entry in the configuration Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to "0"

This is the value of the time the browser waits after it gets the data. And we don't want it to wait and keep us waiting so make it 0

I hope this will make your surfing experience more faster.

Please note that making it more then 30 pipes can lead to problems so please don't get too greedy.

I may want to delete or change the setting for “nglayout.initialpaint.delay”. It's making my browser "flash" I think and bothers my eyes. Maybe I will get used to it. :-)

Yes it does makes it flash. I was also irritated at first.

And even thought that this tip might be like the thousands of the tips that we find on internet but never works. :grin: But this one worked for me. And it worked nicely.
