Update: I received the link to download the ebooks today. I ran a virus scan on the 120MB file that I downloaded and it was clean. There are other files zipped within the zip file so I will also scan those before I use them. This is more to make sure the seller did not pick up a virus by mistake and not because I think he would send me one intentionally.

I didn't count them to see if there were 40,000 or not, and one file that says 10,000 ebooks does not seem to have that many... but there is one heck of a lot of ebooks that I have now and at this price there is nothing I can complain about, even if many of the titles turn out to be all over the web.
