Please Help Me!! I have a hosting din cancelled it but...
I recently sign up for a hosting in a company duoservers, after 25 days I canceled my membership because I realized I need to practice building a website first in a free hosting heheh..
I now realize building a website is not easy. Well it is not for me, as I am totally a begineer, actually the reason why I signed up for a hosting is that, I am curious to know how it works, hehehe... well, signed up because I know they have a 30 money back guarantee.
Now, I got an email stating that they refunded my money partially. They charged me $10 dollars because they said, the domain name registration is final.
What does it mean? Do I still own the domain name? or what? sorry I am really a newbie...and I know I still have a long way to go to know all the techies on the web.
Please tell me, does it mean I can still use the domain name I had? thank you!
P.S. Also if you want to suggest of tutorials in building a website. Fell free to post here. Thank you!

RE: Please Help Me!! I have a hosting din cancelled it but...
I don't know how to do it. Please help.
I've heard about domain parking.. what is that? can you please tell me in a simple way which is easy for me to understand? please if you don't mind.
I really like my domain name, and I want to keep it. By the way, my domain name will expire on Dec. 6, 2007. But I am planning to keep this domain name and register this for like 5 to 10 years.
Do you know which place should I renew my registration? I mean the cheapeast place. That's what I am looking for. I've heard go daddy.

Friend let me know what your domain name is. So that I can check the WHOIS information of it and then tell you where it is registered.
Then from there you can login in your domain name control panel and change the nameservers and point your domain name to some free host.
Domain parking is also possible. But it will only be benificial if your domain name is recieving some good traffic.

ICANN Registrar: ENOM, INC.
Created: 05-dec-2006

So you have the domain name. Open an account at enom.com and then send an email to your hosting company to push that domain name in your enom account. Mention your enom account's email address in that email.
Will finish off this things.

Ok thanks admin for the help. I checked out my domain name too at betterwhois and it's still in my name.
I am confused because I just phoned my credit card company, and they say, the whole amount was refunded. Ok I think I will better email my hosting company about this. Thanks for all the help. Greatly appreciated admin.
