Some adsense calculations
Adsense
___________________________________________________
1000 impressions with the CTR of 1% and a rate of 0.5 dollars per click
Gets us 10 clicks at the rate of 0.5 equals to 5 USD's
___________________________________________________
100,000 impressions
Gets 500 USDs instead of 5 USD
___________________________________________________
Now how to get 100,000 impressions
From my past experience it took me 5000 content pages to get 100,000 impressions.
___________________________________________________
How to create 5000 content pages.
100 days - 50 pages per day - gets 5000 pages.
Make it like a forum or blog post or article repository or any other informational site providing the information to the users.
__________________________________________________
More content. More google traffic. So more impressions on that 1st 5000 content pages.
Plus more content being submitted by other users too. If you have put an option for users to submit some content from their side like reviews and other things.
So more then $500 in just 3 months. Cannot be stopped.
If by luck the CTR goes above 1% to 2% then the income is doubled and $1000
If by luck the Paying goes to 1 USD on average from 0.5 dollars per click then also it can be $1000 from adsense
And the content of course increases so in 3 more months it is 200,000 impressions.
Best scenario - After 3 months.
CTR goes to 2%.
Content gets in 200,000 impressions.
Payment of a click goes to $1 on average.
$4000 USD per month - No one can stop.

RE: Some adsense calculations
Very interesting information, but remember: Google can stop. :-)
I must bow before you, since I am very impressed with those numbers that you indicate come from your own experience.
While I do ok with Google, I think my efforts have been spread too thin with too many sites. It is true that the sites with the most traffic generally make the most money, but sites with a high CTR can make almost as much as sites with 20 times MORE traffic.
Your post clearly outlines to me the importance of the three main factors which we may or may not have control over:
Raw traffic, effective use of ads, and topics with higher bid prices.
Is SEO a factor in what you do? How about submissions/link building?

RE: Some adsense calculations
It sounds like you just create sites with lots and lots of content, and I know that can work well. But just simple optimization should make your sites work even better. The results of my SEO methods (which includes submissions) generally results in a traffic increase for an un-optimized site of 2-4 times, and does not need ongoing maintenance. I don't concern myself with rankings, only traffic.
If you don't use SEO much and don't use link building, then you must use site submissions or something else? If not, and you are only getting traffic from being found by SE spiders, then I am even more impressed! :-)
