Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase. It should be between 2 to 7 %

Keyword Density is the percentage of amount of your keywords to the text in the rest of your webpage. There is no hard and fast rule for what your keyword density should be. But too little and it won't be clear to search engines what the page is about and too much and it will look like you're trying to spam them. Don't let keyword density rule your Web writing. If your page has a very low keyword density, but it's well written and clear, you'll get as many readers.
