We lose only those without the patience and the desire to join us.

You may be right.

But it is just the starting. I know that the 100 character threshold is also killing the popularity of the forums.

But that hurdles are to filter out the good ones and the bad ones out from the crowd.

As my friend nielsencl told above. It might be good to lose the people without patience. I can change the captcha code. But in end it is all well and good to see if the user is really a domainer and is really intersted to join the community.

If the things are too easy the user might think that this forums here are public property and he or she can use it the way he or she likes it. Which is not the truth.

This is a privately owned forums. And me and my staff here are trying a lot to keep it clean and healthy. Not just based on the expenses but I know that the staff here is giving out their precious time dedicated towards keeping our community more cleaner then ever before.

Still if you want I can take this issue to the moderation board. And take the votes of the staff. But I think 3 out of 5 will vote that captcha are good ones.
