Bio: I began writing as soon as I was able to properly hold a crayon and haven 't stopped since. The idea of using my English degree to begin a career as a writer was more than I had ever really dared to hope for. I am terribly delighted that I made the decision to become a writer. Writing is so much more than an opportunity to make money for me, it's also a method of healing myself and shielding myself from the harshness of the world around me.
Writing isn 't all there is to me though, keep reading to learn a little more about the person on the other side of the words. I have a varied list of interests, much like my varied reading list that includes activities like computer gaming, riding hoses, knitting, sailing, reading, camping, photography, and many more wonderful pursuits. One reason, at least as far as I can see, that writing seems so natural to me is that I am so willing to see, do, and try new things.
My work is greatly influenced by my favorite writers as is the work of any self-respecting writer. I owe it to myself as a writer to read the works of those who have made names for themselves in the writing worlds like W. E. B. Griffith, Janet Evanovich, James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, and David Baldacci. It should be understood that there have been many more throughout the years; this is just a list of my current five favorites. My interests have always been varied though I am currently developing a deeper interest in urban fantasies, traditional fantasies, and paranormal fiction writing.
Please read, respond, and participate as I am excited about the opportunity that blogging presents to communicate with other writers and readers out there. Visit often in order to see for yourself what's going on here.
