I want to use the same thing that igoogle uses...but dont know what they have used for programming, so can someone please tell me?? I think that is AJAX, but i doubt if all that stuff is possible using AJAX.

Also, what does yahoo mail use....i mean the latest new version of yahoo mail. is that also AJAX?

You can check out Yahoo GUI library. It is also called yahoo UI library.

One more example would be the wordpress Ajax sidebar widgets.

It also has a collection of small widgets that can act in similar fashion. Plus each widget has its own code and own work that has to be accomplished in the end.
