I wanted to thank Nameslot for again bringing in a new Tournement of refering members.
But i have one doubt whether how are the members tracked under my referral?
If i bring a referral how can it be known?

The person signing up will have an option to fill in the referal.

If he fails then you can contact tournament moderators.

Every members stats are available in Admin Panel. so i will keep you peopl informed about the stats every week or so.

But i was thinging of applying a script like affiliate programs where in the referrals ID is stored in the link and when someone clicks on the link the referrer is automatically credited. :)

Normally on forums when you recommend to a friend or fellow webmaster to join the new forum, there is a place to put their referrer. If you know them well and make sure they put in your user id, then they should be able to do that. However, if it's on another forum or site and you are recommending to join this other forum, it may be a bit hard to convince them who you do not know to be certain to put your name as a referrer.

And thats the problem iam going to face, cos i will put this forums link in all my 10 websites & if someone comes here how can i track them.

That's always an ongoing issue on similar sites that give us an affiliate program with just an id name or an id number, and do not have an affiliate link instead. As if I like a site, I like to place it someplace on my sites or on other sites and if I do not have a link to get credit for them, then they just sign up and wouldn't even know who sent them.

As far as cookies are concerned, already thought all about that as well. On some affiliate sites a cookie is placed on their computer and it may be there for a few months, or a few years who knows. However, those of us who know computers usually every so often DELETE those cookies don't we? At least I do, I can easily clear them out and get rid of any junk such as any viruses by doing virus scans and I also delete cookies in case someplace watches how often I go there.
