HI,
i have laptop and its CD drive is not working, and i want to format my hard drive of it.i have external CD drive but when i select boot device as cd drive it is not detecting that external drive as it is USB drive.
can any one have solution of this problem rather than purchase new cd drive

Sorry for a useless question here but can I know if it has floppy drive? Maybe it can be booted with the bootable floppy.

sorry admin,my intention was not to just post the question here, but i m facing this probs and i had spend around 15 hours to install OS. i did not find any solution that is why i posted this question here.

yesterday night i attached my friend's laptop cd drive and complete installation a'ter 5 hours. as u know it is registered version so i cant use floppy drive as i need to install original OS.

btw problem is solved. sorry once again, next time i will not start this type of thread here.
