what is affiliate program datafeed?

i have recently signed up on shareasale and CJ.com by reading some threads in this section of the forum. but i am confused that how can i get datafeeds and if i get datafeeds then what should i do with the datafeeds. one thing i can understand is that they are giving some feeds like RSS feeds or something which has some data in it. but i cannot know how to use it. there was nothing written about it on the sites.

it would be very kind of you if you people can guide me and tell me what the datafeeds is and what is it's use. thanking you in advance.

Well a datafeed is a kind of data that the seller supplies you and of whom you have become an affiliate of.

By that datafeed you can configure the scripts in such a way that it can show the listings of the products sold by the seller on your own website.

Different programs have different format of datafeeds. So you will have to decide which affiliate program you wanna join and then configure or make a script which is compatible with the given datafeed by that company.
