why to park domains

i don't understand why people park domains. i can understand that it gives money. but isn't it better to develop the site and then put adsense or any other ads on it? we can also get Pagerank and more frequent visitors compared to the parking page. once a person lands on parking page he will never come back again.

share your ideas.

RE: why to park domains

Well all people do not develop domains. And on the other hand all people do not park the names.

Sometimes it depends on the owner and sometimes it depends more because of the amount of revenue generated by choosing the right thing.

RE: why to park domains

Very true, and many know this.

But what if you have 10 domains, or 500?

Most people don't have the resources to put anything more than bad template sites on hundreds of domains. And even that takes time to set up a site, create the site, upload the files, etc. Then it starts making sense (if you get type-in traffic) to just get them hosted and collect the checks.

RE: why to park domains

It is irritating that the majority of domains are bought just to be parked/resold at inflated prices to an enduser, but that's how it goes.

I don't get typein traffic. in most cases i don't get traffic at all. so it will be better for me to make some sites. (which i don't know how to make sites)

If you have the time and the interest, perhaps you should learn about it?

I think on of the best ways is to get a site somewhere and then work to change it little by little. You can make a change and then see how it works.

A lot of what I know was learned this way. Of course, you can take a class or buy a book too. Sometimes that is easier and faster.

You could try the free site script from www.rssmini.com. You can just make a few changes and the site is all ready to go with some good content that will be updated for you. If learn how the site works it will be a very good lesson for you to start with.

Very nice tip from nielsencl here.

Take it slow. Don't keep on dreaming this and that. Atleast start it off. And as the time goes on you will yourself know what to do and what not.

But getting started with something is better then wondering in vain without nothing.
