    Google updates cyber policy rules

If your site collects any meaningful data like credit card info or addresses, you will now have to clearly describe how you plan to use the information you are collecting.

    Avoid links in the footer

The latest algorithm tweaks have apparently targeted too many links in the footer. I think this may have been mistaken for some type of farmer scheme, but I don’t really see the logic behind it.

    Will yahoo make a comeback?

Everyone is following the newest hire by Yahoo (former Googler who we don’t even need to name at this point). Will Yahoo re-enter the SEO world and bring some much needed competition to Google?

Increasing page rank with article writing still a good idea?

It seems not. Every piece of empirical data that I can find seems to suggest that the Panda, Penguin, Caffeine, Vince, et. al updates have effectively diminished the value of all article writing. Some may disagree, but I think your seo time is better spent elsewhere.

New Google + rules in effect

As everyone knows, Google is trying to increase competition with Facebook, and hence the Google + rollout. Well now they have implemented a new policy, no more ads that direct users to click on Google+ buttons or deals in exchange for Google + clicks.

Panda update compared to Caffeine update

A vast majority of SEOs agree that the Panda update had a narrower impact that the caffeine update did because it targeted a smaller niche of criteria. How would you compare the two to the Vince update?

Things to watch out for when avoiding Panda

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but there is a lot of evidence showing that sites with too much duplicate content combined with no canonical attributes in headers were hit particularly hard by the latest Panda update. Article sites were also crushed.

How is Google monitoring quality of block-list requests?

Does anyone know how Google is monitoring frequency and volume of block-list requests? Are they relying on manual reviews or have they developed an algorithmic solution (I suspect the latter, but who knows).

Effectiveness of the personal block-list in algorithms

There is some evidence to suggest that Google is still evaluating their block-list after some concerns were brought up concerning a distributed denial of service attack type of attack being possible. Has this been ironed out yet?

Any differences between U.S. Panda and U.K. Panda updates?

Has anyone noticed a discernible difference between the latest farmer updates (comparing the U.S. and U.K.).   I have the feeling that the Panda updates is pretty similar throughout.
