Make sure the db still has the appropriate fields for the privacy settings and that they are not empty if they still exists. That goof-up when did patching may have deleted them accidently, but I don't know all the fields in MyBB since I don't use it and haven't looked at all its code.

Two and one letter names can change hands. They just can't be allowed to expire, unless already registered with a drop-catcher registry parner (like Snapenames) who auto-renews it on the last day just to auction it off. Once "deleted" from pending-delete, they are gone forever. But, they change...

Check the admin area, and db and make sure it is still marked that way? When updated db, then reverted to restore forum, different MySQL versions store db's differently so the "setting" to block this area from non-staff may be missing.

Sorry folks. These issues were do to an update to the database servers. Updates have been removed, however, till we can resolve the issues, so that the forum can be back to its normal self in the meantime:grinning-wink: I apologize for the problems this caused.

A second opinion here..almost in-line with the first. AVOID Godaddy back-orders. Like said, they catch very little, even with companies they partner with.

If you are referring to the page that redirects you back to the home-page on login to the forum (or during certain functions like searches), you'll sadly have to cope. It exists for the simple reason that some older browsers (and some users' settings & security, even with newer browsers) won't...
