I have considered it many times to try to get more traffic to my site but have always been afraid of being punished in the rankings for it.
i dont know much about seo really. does anyone here use it?

I had tried to upgrade this forum to vB and thought of using vbSEO.

But the thing is that the existing URL's were already indexed in the index. And the vbSEO's URL's would not be same as of which I am using right now.

But if you already have vBulletin installed then it will be a very good idea to use vbSEO.

I'd have to look at their site again for the details, but my understanding is that is most just gives you SE friendly URLs and may also provide some SEO benefits like dynamic page titles and meta tags.

I'm not sure it's worth the cost, but I don't think there is any "risk" in using except if you have an established forum and it changes the URLs so that your indexed pages are then "gone". But generally the way these things work is that the old URLs will still work, but the links to the on your site will be gone, so in time they will be dropped from the SE, and the "new" URLs will be picked up in their place.

well my site www.cryo-laboratory.com has been around for about 2.5 years now so maybe i shouldnt mess with things.i would hate to lose any ground i have gained. i may be starting a new site soon in which i will try the vbseo.
