Are reciprocal links still going on?

I was wondering, if websites are doing reciprocal links any more!

I am requesting for reciprocal links in many sites but getting almost no reply.


What is your feedback?

reciprocal links are two way link but very few people prefer these links because their are lots of free directories of one way links and reciprocal links consumes times.

Reciprocal linking or swapping is dead or at the very least dying. Google does not consider reciprocal links into their algorithm anymore. What Google does consider are links from other related websites with a high PR. Authority good content websites receive a higher Page Rank, that Google remembers whenever someone does a search.
