Articles submissions for SEO

Do you do article marketing to get exposure on article directories? If yes then how many articles do you write or get it written and submit them to the article sites?

I usually start with 5 articles for one site related to its topic and then get it submitted to 350+ article directories to get backlinks and traffic from it.

If hte domain name is new then it really shows some very good positive response with article submissions.

Actually i enlist some related keywords in groups of 3-4 targeted keywords and make article targeting those keywords. and than i submit article to 300 article directories.
i used to do article submission which is really helpful to get one way links.

I have never done article marketing before now i think i will give it a shot. looking at what you people are suggesting i think it might have some potential. my first problem is going to be how to write an article.

I must agree that article submission sites at this point in time are worthless. Still, we publish about an article a week on few of these sites. Most of these articles get picked up by many other sites which can provide us with valuable link backs.

We have been following this approach for the last couple of months. It helped push our ranking for some of the key words we were competing for.
