Chennai, located in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, has a hot and moist tropical climate. In summers 40 °C temperature may shows in Chennai. The average temperature in summers is 37 °C and in winters it is 24 °C. The east of city is lined up by the sea that is Bay of Bengal. The area thus accepts a good quantity of annual rainfall, mostly from the north eastern monsoons. 1300 mm is the average annual rainfall expected by Chennai. The cyclones in the Bay of Bengal occasionally strike the coastal area of Chennai. The period from November to February constitute the winter season and is the best time to stay there. The period is marked by an acceptable temperature 24 °C and low humidity. There are little rains during this period. Any variations in climate can affordable by Chennai citizen. To protect the from high temperature they use many advanced technology and good quality paint.
