Humm.... that is why I use the software which I have to do my domain name lookups.

When a single domain name is to be looked up then I always use domaintools.com

there is a bug in domain tools as well!!
suppose i want to search for xyz.com and i search it on domain tools...then the url generated is http://domaintools.com/xyz.com and if there is a advertisement on that page on which the user clicks after searching the domain...then the advertiser would have that URL in his referrer log!!

Yes pranav that can also give a signal to other webmasters right on their awstats or similar program which shows the referrals.

That can also be one of the issues causing this kind of problems.

What domain software you use for making your lists?

Or do you check it directly on the whois websites?

I have one software for domain mining specially tailored by the domainers and for the domainers. The software is no longer available in the market so I cannot mention its name here as the owner has stopped supporting it. But it is still good one and I use it on regular basis.

i search for the name of namecheap.com where i had bought a domain that day, and these two domains were available and i thought that i would buy the second domain tommorow....
but the next day the domain was gone!!

Now, wether that was a mere coincidence or someone really stole it...i might never come to know!!

So when can we expect for the software Nameslot? If its not supported by the developer anymore does it mean we can use it? Hope we can

It is working fine. I would say it is working better then the ones that are available right now in the market. The author of the software is busy doing other things and cannot give proper time to support this software and queries of the customers. So he has stopped giving it out. You can expect it anytime in next 48 hours. I will just ask for his permission. And then it can be even branded as our own Nameslot.com's software if we get the permission.

hey..thats good news!!
If the developer gives you the rights you can even start it as an open source project where all the members contribute as it happens in all the open source projects available!
This way you can brand it, even market it as well as sell it; coz if he doesnt have the time, there are a lot of people out there who have some time and who are ready to contribute to it and thus we can keep the software going!!

That's true but even I don't get much time nowadays. This forum I am in love with it so I have to scrape sometime from here and there. :grin:

Maybe the Nameslot staff can take it over and the funds can be used for paying them and making the forums better then before.

I have 80 websites live right now. Out of which 20 can be called successful as they are the earning ones.

I am sorry as I cannot mention the names here in the forum but, I also have to do the work for 2 clients of mine with whom I am on a contract basis and their demands are really out of this world. Some staff people here know about that projects and the ongoing developments.
