domain name situtation here

i have a very bad situation here.

i registered a domain name of one company and as they didn't had paypal and didn't wanted to use their credit card for this purposes they told me they will give me cash and i can register their domain and put it in my account and point it to the hosting server.

i registered it and those company people didn't paid me anything. i also don't have time to go and ask for that much amount for just a mere domain name. because it will cost me more petrol then the price of the domain name. so i let it go.

now the thing is that their domain is about to expire in 10 days. and those people haven't even paid me for the domain name registration then how would they pay me for renewals.

the thing is if they come to me after 2 or 3 years and if someone else owns that domain name at that time then? i would not be able to give them their domain even if they pay me for all the domain charges. and i cannot also renew it for next years to come in hope that they will come and ask me for this domain name.

so i have decided that i will not renew it. and let it get expired and let someone else pick it up. so that the company learns a lesson.

am i right?

If I were in your place then I would have given a call to the company informed them that their domain is going to expire. If they want it renewed then pay the money. For the renewal and also pay the money that you have invested yourself last year while registering that domain name.

If NO is the answer then let it drop and let someone else pick it up. Forget this kind of people who cannot even pay for a domain registration. They cannot go lower then that.

yes i think i will do that. i will call them say them about the thing. the domain is going to expire on this 24th march. so there are not many days left in it. if they don't want to pay me my money and the new money for renewing i am going to let it drop and then they can pay thousands to someone else who takes that domain. who cares. i am just fed up of this people. it would not look good but in real from somewhere in my heart i wish their domain just vanishes from this whole system of domain names. so that they would never get it back. i want him to cry forever for his domain.
