Grassroots.org is pleased to introduce a new program in association with Moniker.com that provides a free domain for one year to US and Canadian nonprofit organizations that apply to Grassroots.org for free web services.
Grassroots.org is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is looking to change the world slowly but surely via the Internet at local, national, and international levels.
Grassroots.org is pleased to announce that new and existing nonprofit clients are eligible to receive a free domain name of their choice for one year. The arrangement is made possible through a new partnership with the domain name registrar Moniker.com. Under the agreement nonprofit organizations will be able to register a new domain name or transfer their existing name to take advantage of the offer.
Jim Ward, President of Grassroots.org, states, “Grassroots.org is proud to partner with Moniker.com to provide nonprofit organizations the use of a free domain name. Consistent with our mission to reduce costs for nonprofits, this offering will allow those organizations addressing key areas of concern including civic participation, poverty, housing, healthcare and the environment, to build a web presence to promote their efforts. Free domain names are the first step for nonprofits and charities who want to use Grassroots.org’s tools and services which include website design and development, online advocacy tools, issue promotion and more.â€

To receive the free domain name, along with free web hosting and web design, an application form must be completed at http://www.grassroots.org/do/Tools and submitted along with proof of the organization's nonprofit status. Qualified applicants will then be given instructions on how to register a new domain name or transfer an existing domain name at no cost.
