Softfones allow you to use your computer to make voice calls to other computers and telephones. With the proper configuration, Kapanga can be used to make direct calls to any other computer in the world that is running Kapanga, or to make calls to cellular or landline telephones. When calling other computers, all you need is the IP address of the computer you are trying to reach. To call a telephone you will need an account with an SIP provider. Once you've got Kapanga set up, future configuration is a breeze.
