Even if everyone says that Page Rank (PR) has nothing to do with SERP (Search Engine Results Pages), most of us are worried about getting a higher PR. When you browse through the top sites in Google, you will find that Google shows the sites that do have some decent PR. One way or other, it can be understood that Google Algorithm is based on the Page Rank of the site.

Although the Page Rank of the webpage is updated only once in a while (may be 3-4 months), it is a clear decisive factor in showing the SERPs. Let me tell you where you will see a PR of the site on your desktop. When you install Google toolbar
, you will notice some scaling from 0 to 10. The authoraitive sites have a good PR and the dubious sites a
grey Page Rank of 0.

Recently, Google has made many efforts to reduce the importance of Page Rank, if Google can reduce the size of their algorithm is still a closely guarded secret. You can increase your range, through the observation of the code, forum posts, social networks and social bookmarking websites. But most important is its content.
