Is reality shows are already scripted

I m too much found of watching reality shows specially American Idol and X factor are my most favorite singign competition. I love to watch these ones every year. Some time I feel that these shows are already scripted, like emotional blackmailing of contestant that he is the only earning person of house, fight between judges, demand of a song too many times and many more things like this. What do you think that these shows are already scripted or not..........................
