You have read all the chapters of this book and are now almost ready to plunge in and start making the profits. Still I would like to have a last word with you before you close this book and start the things rolling for yourselves.
First and the main tip would be to keep yourself in control. Domain name buying and selling is very addictive. So take it slowly and steadily. Build your portfolio small but strong.
Too many domains with less value can be costly even with its renewal fees every year.
Do intensive research before buying a domain name.
If the domain name is available then do the research which category it falls into. Is it a 4-letter .com domain name? Is it a dictionary domain name? Are there any trademark issues with that domain name? Etc.
If it sounds too good to you then don’t just keep on registering more and more other wise you will find yourself with 1000’s of domain name sitting in your lap and which have no value in the market.
When you are buying a domain name from someone else then do a check if it is blacklisted. The person selling you the domain name is the rightful owner of the domain name or not. You can check these things with the help of WHOIS check. On http://www.domaintools.com
If you are buying the domain name based on its previous traffic then do ask for screenshots of the traffic stats.
If you are buying the domain name based on its Google Pagerank then check if the Pagerank is valid or not.
Don’t invest much more then you can afford and don’t leave your jobs.
