With any Apple Certified Refurbished iPod Nano these are pre-owned products which then undergo a very stringent refurbishment process before they are offered for sale. All these types of recondition iPod Nano's come with a 1 year limited warranty from Apple and if a person wants they have the option of purchasing the Applecare Protection Plan when they purchase their Apple Certified Refurbished product.
What also should be noted is that Apple Store will only sell and ship their refurbished iPod to end user customers and if an order exceeds 9 units then the purchaser will need to contact their Corporate Gifting and Rewards Team. Also Apple Store do not provide engraving or gift wrapping with any of their refurbished iPod Nano's or any other iPod Models.
