Before the current issue of Business 2.0, very few people had heard of Kevin Ham. And yet he is a giant among domainers. His domain enterprises generate approximately $70 million a year and he holds a portfolio of roughly 300,000 domain names. Still, it’s what many do not know about this man that [...]

An amazing story of a Person who is a millionaire through Domaining.. Just have a look.. :)

I have a subscription to Business 2.0 and noticed that cover, but I have not read it yet. Sounds great. B2 had a great article about a year ago on domainers that got me more interested in the industry. Great magazine.

The other one that I get is Inc. It doesn't have as much tech stuff, but a lot of good information about business in general.

WOW! I just read that blog post! I'll be reading the magazine article this weekend. It's amazine!

Hehe, yes such things inspire us a lot.. i know The level where he is and where we are.. we cant imagine also.. but we can take inspire that once he was @ our level :D lol...

More domains more money, Im Planning something Big currently. On a track to buy 1000 .info names ;) all ready started.

I read the magazine article in Business 2.0 about Kevin Ham. Amazing. My reaction is one of admiration and disgust. I admire his cleverness and hard work and doing a deal with an entire country. But I don't like that one person has so much power and money, and from somthing that maybe should be shared among many people.

The article talks about him being at a Las Vegas domain auction and buying some expensive domains, then going up and writing a check for about $900,000!

Anyway, I went to sleep last night and this morning I ran to the computer and registered 6 domains:

kevin-ham.biz
kevin-ham.us
kevin-ham.net
kevin-ham.org
kevin-ham.info
kevinham.ws

Am I crazy?

I thought it was funny that kevinham.com was parked...! :-)

hmm coool neilsen.. I hope kevin ham just see this names and would pay u $$$$$$ :D.. good luck..

Im behind .info domains As they are going cheap @ godaddy $1.21 :D planning to buy 1000 of them :D approx 1100 investment :D for 1000 domains for 1 yr.. i feel its gr8 deal ;)

Interesting info here.

Domain names are really getting on my mind  Day and night I think about domains and domains and again domains. :crying:

Also interesting actions by nielsencl.

My thought was that as this news gets out, more and more people will be talking about and researching Kevin Ham, so why not be in a position to catch some of that traffic?

Also, I think there are those that will have ideas for sites around this new "hero", and I happily await their offers. :-)

When I first looked, all of the main TLDs for "kevinham" were taken. Then I saw that most of the hyphenaed TLDs were not and since these should show up well for searches I bought them. Then I expanded my seach for the un-hyphened domain and found the .ws, which I think is ok like .cc just not too popular. There was also another TLD, oh yes .bz was open, but it cost about $25 for one year so I didn't get it.

I don't think I can register .eu, .ca, or co.uk domains but While I know some of you may start to hate me, I did register kevinham.in... :-)

Hmm intresting, when i become The next kevinham i will surely get that domain from you hehehehe.. Cant imagine to get that close.. Just his ideas could inspire..

I plan to read the article a little later tonight.

Interesting moves, nielsencl. I am surprised that someone with that much domain name experience and power would not have registered those domains already! I wonder if you could contact him and have him make an offer for his own domain...

I think that your purchases will pay off if he is featured in more magazines. I could see him being on Larry King Live or Time magazine somehow with what I am reading in the thread.
