What can be done for holding your place in Google?

I am at present reworking on designing a website which already has a high rank in Google because of its primary keywords. But problem lies in this appearing to be not the ideal place for this certain website. There is mention of the keyword only in the title. Apart from this, the website has just seven or so back links. I am very scared of this website’s chances of losing its position anytime although I am very diligent regarding my SEO job. On visiting the website can somebody kindly help me by informing me what the real situation is?
