They purchase alot of his portfolio which was held by Uniregistry. The thing is Uni was gears toward domainers and GoDaddy use to be the same way but they are so big they do not care anymore.

Details are vague at the moment but GoDaddy has purchased a register. https://www.thedomains.com/2020/02/11/godaddy-acquiring-uniregistry-and-name-administration/ I find this to be good and bad, I hate godaddy so my opinion is salty at best.
