Do you miss those early days when you used to earn a far better income from your adsense then you are earning right now. Well this has happened to lot of webmasters. The main reason behind this is the cheap bidders who act like brokers for delivering the click on the right place to its destination (That is the advertisers page)

The scenario is something like this. For example you have a web hosting forum. Also lets assume you got one visitor on the forum and he is interested in buying a hosting package for his upcoming websites. Now the ads that are being displayed on your forums are relevant to hosting ads as the thread itself is about hosting discussions. The contextutal ads server will display the Hosting related ads on that particular thread and the visitor which in this case is looking for a hosting package is tempted to visit that site to satisfy his needs for a new hosting package.

What happens now?

The ads that were showing on your pages and which the visitor clicked paid you 0.15 for that click. As the advertisers has set that amount for bidding for the particular keyword. Now on the site where our user landed. It has nothing much. It also doesn't offers hosting services but yeah he has pasted one or two articles on his page related to web hosting. Now the frustrated visitor clicks that ads and he now lands on the right page. But this time the person who stole that visitor from you for $0.15 sent that same user to another site for $0.50 or $0.70

Making a neat profit of $.035 to 0.55 without doing any work at all.

Good point. And some people are using the Adsense competitor block filter to keep certain ads from their sites. In fact you can find some web sites that are devoted to the fact and that share domains of the known sites that do this. They say you can earn more if you block these "fake" directory and MFA sites. Never click on the ads to see them, use Right-click and then paste the code into notepad. Then find the actual URL to the junk site to check it.

I tried to block a lot os sites, about 40 or so. But what happend to me is that my income dropped by about 50%!!! So I removed all the sites I was blocking.

I just found something new in Adsense that everyone should know about. Under ADD CHANNEL there is an option for "Show this channel to advertisers as an ad placement". If you have a good site you may want to select this, since it allows those avertising to specifically select your site to advertise on. As advertisers become aware that their ads are being shown on junk sites, they will be more selective I think.

Yes the adsense blacklist sites. My main reason for writing this was to make more and more webmasters aware of the fact that they are being cheated. Not by google or their coder. But by the other people who can cheat them without even visiting their website. Don't know what can be done for people like this other then blocking them off. And monitoring the channels. Maybe future will be more brighter, lets hope so.

i have seen a lot of sites that are basically just links. i hope they can fix this problem soon becuase it really makes a google search a pain to sort out whats a real site and what just a page full of adsense.

Yes and now comes this adsense smart pricing that is killing the publishers. Getting peanuts out of adsense has just started. Who knows where it will go. Hoping that it does changes a bit.
