Can yahoo Penalize A Site?

I bought a domain decreased. I added the articles and backlinks built, but the site still is not indexed in Yahoo.

If I do a site: mysite.com, I do not show anything.

So I'm curious if Yahoo can penalize a site?

how you can say yahoo penalize your website?, i think you should first of all submit your website in yahoo search engine and then you can get visibility in yahoo search engine.

If your website is not indexed, it does not mean your domain is penalized.

Yahoo indexing process is comparatively slower than Google, so better give it some time and you just focus on your on page and off page optimization.

You can try some more techniques that can help you in getting indexed fast.

- Submit your website to Yahoo! directory (this is paid directory and have good editorial command)
- Social Bookmarking (Yahoo! Buzz)
- Participate in Yahoo! communities
- Join Yahoo! question Answers

I think Yahoo takes more time to index a site as compared to Google, so don't worry.

I think Yahoo optimization not longer than now, Because it is controlled by the Bing search engine.
