First of all congratulations for the the site, it's truly informative.

I have been gathering some information but there are still some points
I don't understand :

1.OK I understand that you have to park your page with TrafficZ or Imonetize but where does your traffic come from on the parked pages ?
Example: Let's say you have a new domain that has no traffic, do you need to use SEO to get traffic or the traffic comes just like that because you optimized the keywords on your parked page?

2.How long does it take to start receiving traffic on your parked page?
Do you have to wait for Google to spider your parked page ?

3.What do you think is better : Buy existing domains or new domains ?

I'd like to hear from the specialists on this . Thank you . It's a great site ! I hope to learn more and contribute more to nameslot.

Hello Suf....

Now the Question you asked are the Basic Question a NEW BIE asks. And most of the people dont understand and do few stuff which results in termination of account or anything like that..

The Basic Thing NEW BIE should remember is Domain Parking is for DOMAINS GETTING TRAFFIC FROM SEARCH ENGINES or TYPEIN TRAFFIC.

AND YOU CANT ADVERTISE OR PROMOTE YOUR PARKED DOMAINS ANYWHERE.

This are the 2 lines every new bie should remember.

The question u have asked is for every1 who are comming up in domain parking. And this are the common questions every1 ask. When i was a new bie 2 u i also had same questions. but that time there was no 1 to answer and you are lucky enough that people will help and answer u many of your questions.

1.OK I understand that you have to park your page with TrafficZ or Imonetize but where does your traffic come from on the parked pages ?

First of all this are not the only 2 parking websites trafficz n imonetize.. There are dozens of them.... And Trafficz and imonetize requirements are very high. This parking are for people who have good names and big portfolios. So i would suggest you to start with companies who accepts you with a single domain also.. And yes if u have 50 to 100 domains then you could try applying biggies. But as a new bie i would suggest you to get with Namedrive, Sedo, parked (requires manual approval)

Just Start with small things. Few domains work out and see how it goes for you in 2 to 3 months. Once u know the idea an all the things you could increase your domains and can get into big companies..

Initially just Start with namedrive or sedo and see how they perform.

Remember Just dont think that your domains are going to earn $$ in few days or weeks. It takes time. And if you got patience then enter domain parking ;).. It all depends on ur domain name some may start getting traffic in few days, some takes time may be few weeks, coulple of months or sometimes they just dont get anything lol..

If your domain name is new it takes time to get some traffic. Its not easy to drive traffic.. So whenever u get a new Domain. First thing u need to do is submit your domain to as many places as u can, Search engines, Directories, Etc....

Once your are done with all ur submission park your Domain.. Domain parking companies will help optimising ur domains, Few will also help ur domains getting to list in search engines.. And slowly u will get traffic. Still you cant predict how much traffic, or when u will get traffic. It all depends on your domain name n once u submit in search engines it takes time to get ur domain added in listnings. sometimes domain may not be added...

I would say just consider 2 months minimum and then see if u get anything.. few times u may get traffic before that. but approx u can say 2 months n if u know Seo then you could also do that. It helps...

3.What do you think is better : Buy existing domains or new domains ?

Hmm This depends on your budget and many other factors. If your planning to buying existing domain with traffic. First thing is Cost. You wont get such Domains easily with few bucks.

Suppose u got a domain for say $50. Now the thing is once u park your domain. how much will it earn you cant predict. Say the domain is getting a little traffic and u optimise a bit more. But still making $50 from parked takes time unlesss u got real good name. Lets assume  if u made $50 in 8 to 9 months.. So in that much time u just got ur investment back. After that u will make profit. then again ur renewal fees.so approx 1 yr u can say after that u could make profit.. This are just rough figures but thts the way to think about..

Now suppose u have $50 and u got new names. Suppose ur buying .com so around 7 names u would get approx.. Or if ur planning to get .org or .info u may get 15 to 40 names.. as .info is on sale for $1.21 @ godaddy..

So now assume u got 10 domains for $50 and you did some seo submitte in search engines optimised it.... Say for 4 months u didnt got anything.. but till the time it will start getting little traffic If u optimised it well.. From 5 month lets say ur 10 names made u $10, $1 each.. Just assume... So from 5th month u made $10 so till 9th month u got ur investment back.. And above domain also u got ur money back by 9th month... Just the thing is here u have 10 names an there u got 1 name.

But there are + and - both ways the figures i showed u are just a rough example. But it helps...

JUST remember 1 golden line in Domain parking........

" MORE DOMAINS MEANS MORE MONEY "

And as a new bie i would suggest you to get new names which is less investment and you get more names... Only thing is good names an optimisation..

I hope you got most of your answers.. I wrote this big article coz i always see a newbie asking same and same question an many times if he doesnt get much idea he just do some or the other things which goes wrong and doesnt work out, i have seen maney ppl who dont have knowledge always getting banned from parking coz they promote there names and then they keep asking y i was banned and then they complaint this parking company is bad and all that.. Just remember parked names cant be promoted any how.. If u still feel you could email the parking companies and they will answer if it s accepted or not.. If u feel like promoting anything and u feel its fine then just email the customer support and ask them if its ok. If they say yes then only do.. But im not sure  they will say depends on what ur asking..

Anyways hope now no newbie ask this questions again... :D

Thank you and i hope i solved ur questions ;)

Thank you getaddicted !
One question : the strategy above would be for the biggies ? what if I park with Namedrive or Sedo...?

Domains currently parked at GoDaddy. Should I submit them to search engines now and then in 2 months park with Namedrive or Sedo ?
Or should I park with Namedrive or Sedo first and then submit to search engines ? Which one is better ?

Also, do you have to put content on your parked page before submitting to search engines ?

Or you can just submit your plain domain with few keywords ?
I have no idea how this can be done though....Any ideas ?

Thank you very much . You guys are really specialists !

Hey guys, I can take a stab at a couple of these questions. At NameDrive we use a Google ad feed, as do most of the big companies, so our rules and terms of service are pretty similar to Sedo, DomainSponsor and the rest of the companies with a similar feed.

As was previously stated, you can't actively drive traffic to a parked domain through links or ad campaigns of any kind. We accept any sort of expired traffic (ie traffic from domains that used to be developed), which would include sites indexed with Google. The problem is that if you do take a couple of months before you park to submit your domains to search engines
a) you obviously won't get parking revenue for those months and

b) as soon as Google notices the change from an actual site to a parking page (and it will be quick), it will make the necessary changes which could include un-ranking your domain.

The fact of the matter is, if you have good domains you're going to get traffic, regardless of whether you've submitted them to search engines. And if your domain is a highly relevant search term or really good generic, it's going to get indexed by a search engine.

Also, I've expressed elsewhere my disdain with parking your domains with a registrar (they just can't pay out as much as a parking-specific company); I'd really recommend moving them to a parking company ASAP.

Cheers,
Lucas
