In one of the five biggest domain sales reported thus far in 2006, Stephen Sinatra's StepMedia sold Bike.com for $500,000 this week. Sedo.com brokered the domain for Sinatra and he gave them high marks for getting this deal done. That blockbuster was one of three impressive six-figure sales completed this week.

Next in line was WirelessPhone.com, a domain that dialed up $355,000 at Afternic.com. We referred to this sale in last week's column but could not release the name due to a non-disclosure request. That was lifted this week when Afternic president Roger Collins posted the name on his blog.

The third heavyweight on this week's card was Huge.com, a domain that was auctioned off by Moniker.com at the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. West conference in Las Vegas last month and finally closed this week at $106,050. Final payments and transfers of two other big names from that auction were also completed; #4 Promote.com at $70,700 and #11 CreditTips.com at $12,250. Moniker/DomainSystems.com also scored with two non-auction domains, #5 Flurry.com at $50,000 and #9 PinkLight.com at $14,870.

Sedo and SnapNames.com have the most overall entries on the Big Board with six each. The SnapNames roster was led by #6 WeddingParties.com ($19,250) and #8 SMTV.com ($18,000). In addition to bagging the top domain, Sedo sewed up #7 with TimePartner.com ($18,000) and #10 with 118247.com ($12,580).

.Com corralled 16 of the 20 chart positions, with three slots going to country code domains (two co.uks and a .de) and the last one taken by a five-figure .org. That was one of 13 five-figure or higher sales this week, a few less that normal, probably because our reporting period began with a major holiday in the U.S. (Memorial Day). Here's a look at the complete leader board for the week ending Sunday, June 4:
