1. Optimize your site's pages for keywords relating to what your website and business is about. Find out what people type in the search engines to search for your products or services, and then place those keywords within your Web page's content, meta tags, keyword tags and description tags. Place your specific keywords in your title tags. Google pays a lot of attention to what's between your title tags.
2. Submit your website to the top search engines and directories, including Google, Yahoo.
3. Write articles about your niche or industry and submit them to the top article directories. Place your website link in their resource boxes and the bio page. Write 10 to 20 articles or have a freelance writer do it. Article writing is arguably one of the best marketing methods on the Web right now, simply for the fact that the search engines love content.
4. Create a couple of videos about your product or services; submit them to YouTube and other common video websites.
5. Use pay per click, or PPC, marketing. PPC is a method used in online marketing in which you pay the ad company only when your ad is clicked for specific targeted keywords. It can be an effective way of driving traffic to your website, but beware that it can get expensive due to its competitive nature and constant monitoring. If you have the budget, give it a try.
6.Send out a press release about your business and website. It can get picked up by Google News, bloggers looking for content and even the media.
