What are your opinions on website content? the quality content specifics like it should be unique, keyword rich and relevant to the theme of the website etc.

How to get quality content. If someone is not so good at writing it on his own.

Lets discuss about tips so that others can get some guidance from it.

Im not good at writing content that's why I used mini RSS. But Im planning on freelancing an article writer and Ill post it on my site. That way I have a 100% rights on the article, and submit to article directory to send traffic for my site.

So RSS Mini fetches the feeds from other RSS sources and then shows it on your site. Wouldn't it be a duplicate content problem? Means I don't know exactly because I don't own such a site myself. But it would be good to know that do you recieve traffic from search engines for some keywords that are in the content of that RSS feeds? Or does the traffic goes to the original author of that content.

I think that, if you are making a profit on other projects, you should be able to afford to hire a content writer for your latest project.

For example, I can write very well about most topics dealing with technology - video games, software, and hardware - but I hate to see a popular website which makes a profit that hardly has anything besides the keywords necessary to garner a specific amount of hits. I think, in those cases, you get what you pay for.

If you are having problems finding someone to contribute content, maybe I can help if you show me a few tips or tricks of your own...

Roogle you seem to be a god content writer. Lets exchange some tips here and there. I have one blog for which I needed some posts and in return if you want somethings then I can provide ;) Like link building campaigns [Because I have a dedicated Link builder of my own] OnPage SEO etc.

Thanks, nick.

Unfortunately, I have not started any type of online business yet. I'm currently broke, so I don't have any money to invest in myself just yet! I don't mind helping you out, though. Do you want to send me a little information about the project? You can send it to me in a private message.

You are a great poster and I can tell that you will be winning the prizes for this month and thus you will have resources to make your own website and then go further. Believe me I also started out like you 3 years ago. Without a penny and totally dependant on the prizes that I used to get from competition. My 50 MB hosting is still active from 2004 and that site is yet earning the most of my dollars every month.

Hi Nick, Yeah it fetches RSS Sources and it seems its updated daily. With regards to duplicate problem, I cant say much as there's a lot of topics for a specific keyword. Currently both of my RSS Mini sites were not indexed at major searched engines as they are newly built, currently Im just submitting to directories and bookmarking to social bookmarking sites.

See for yourself at breathtakingnews.com and cmosics.com

Nice topic. RSSMini or MiniFolder are very nice, but they just don't see to get the kind of traffic you would expect. I don't think it's a duplicate content problem. I think most of the feeds that are being run on the sites are different enough to pass, but I think the lack of proper optimization is what hurts them. It could also be that Google knows that sites with the RSSMini sites are what they are and so discounts them.

I've added an RSSMini to a search engine site and I see now it looks like it's been banned: http://www.sundewsearch.com/plant-news/ The last time I looked it was a PR0...

My MiniFolder Natto site is still PR0, but it's not too old yet and I think I need more links to it.

Check out my OJDL.com site. You can see the link to the free script it uses. If you have a lot of files, you can use this script to make a pretty cool site very easily. The script makes its own "menu" of files and folders. Create nice keyword folders and you build in some optimization. Notice how the ad topics follow the folders. Heck, I have to find some martgage application forms or something else...

Some affiliate programs provide you with pages for a site. I have one like that and while you might think that using the same pages as a number of other sites would not work, it is for me, at least so far: www.Big-Zoo.us Of course if you customize your site, you can insure you don't get hurt for running a duplicate site. On this one I have made some changes, done some optimization, and you will notice that I'm ALSO running AdSense, so if someone hits the site and doesn't want a phone card, I may still make a few cents off them... :-)

And my last secret that I will share is press releases. PR make very good content and there is no problem with copyright issues. What I do is use blogger for some sites like www.security-guard.org, and use the PR to create posts. It gives me lots of content that is fresher than article sites, and if I create a unique blog post title, I don't duplicate any other PR posts that may be out there.

Most of these things work pretty well as you can see from the PageRank of the sites, but to be honest with you I am not making much money from them. I have not mentioned my two best sites that make about 80% of my monthly site income. Both sites are very different, but the thing they have in common is that they both have lots and lots of content. Consultant-Directory.com and Bizprolink-Internet.com.

I'd like to suggest that in addition to talking about content in general, we also have people tell us about their site(s) and see if we can suggest where to find content for them.
