That image itself is 3.11 MB (3,261,775 bytes)!  It is 3,072 pixels wide and 2,304 pixels tall.  Yet your image tag calls for it to be displayed 300 x 225?

Additionally, you need to validate your code.  For you are showing 18 errors in your markup and 8 errors in your CSS.

Also, you need to take the time to ensure your website is ready for prime-time.  Make sure it all matches.  Your forum looks nothing like your home page and still has a vBulletin logo on it.  The Gallery is showing a 404 not found page when I click the link.

I like the idea you have, I think you need to step back and take a look at what your site looks like to visitors.
